WPT Prime miraculously won by German Gumz, Cibicek third for €53,000. Who won the other tournaments?

The WPT World Festival is at an end. After a year, the event that attracted players from all over Europe, as well as other countries around the world, has returned to Card Casino Bratislava. We know the winners of each of the tournaments, as well as the main one - WPT Prime, in which Slovaks also did well. So how did the festival turn out?

Total payouts came to €1,488,224! For almost two weeks of poker, players enjoyed some great wins and trophies. The main one with the WPT logo was taken home by German player Fabian Gumz, who proved his great qualities, having already won more than €2 million in tournaments.

And he didn't even have to be at the Final Table. His journey to the title is literally proof that he has made everything from almost nothing. From zero, to hero.

In DAY 2 he had a big short. He found AA and opened preflop, and Liszewski of Poland 3-bet him with a pair of QQ. Gumz made the call. At that point, he had only 250k chips behind the line, and that amount was the pot. The Pole couldn't capitalize on the lucky run-out, as he hit a straight on the river, but only check-called. Gumz checked back. At that point he was left with 8 BB, and on the next hand he went extra to the blinds. Despite the almost desperate situation, he was able to manage the short strategy brilliantly and increased his stack over time. He made it all the way to the FT, where he was clearly dominating and strolled his way to a win and a reward of €108,210!

However, Slovak players also managed to score some great goals. Jozef Komorný, or Santa if you prefer, busted out unluckily in 10th place for €10,800. He became the bubble boy of the final table.

Jožko Cibíček was even more successful. He finished in a great third place and cashed €53,000!

And how did all the WPT tournaments turn out? In total, the players took in almost 1.5 million Euros. They won 16 trophies, with Gumz adding the top prize for triumphing in the WPT Prime. Here's a rundown of all the winners at this year's WPT in Bratislava.
